This project involved refurbishing and modernising a historic building. Key elements included adding a mansard roof, reconfiguring internal layouts, and designing to avoid disturbing party walls. Significant strengthening was needed due to fabric loss, and a cantilever staircase was constructed. High-spec finishes, like large imported marble sections, required lightweight steel frames to support the additional weight within the timber walls. This project highlights our structural engineering expertise, blending modern design with meticulous preservation
