leinster mews

This project involved the complete demolition of an existing mews house, followed by the construction of a new, high-specification residence featuring a full basement level and a rear extension. The build presented significant logistical and engineering challenges, particularly in relation to the restricted site access and the complex temporary works required to support excavation and construction activities.

One of the primary technical challenges stemmed from poor ground conditions, which necessitated a bespoke piling solution to ensure structural stability. Additionally, the sequencing of the temporary works was carefully planned to allow for continuity between temporary and permanent structures. This strategic integration not only minimised construction time but also reduced costs and environmental impact.

Despite the inherent complexities, the project was delivered on time and within budget, thanks to a highly efficient and thoughtful design approach. The reuse of temporary works elements within the permanent structure was a key innovation that contributed to the overall success of the scheme.
