This office building was completely modernised and refurbished to a very high standard involving floor strengthening and restoration.  The existing structure was the original construction and very special timber primary members were encountered.  A considerable amount of strengthening work had to be carried out to restore the existing structure and allow the new structural members to fit within the available floor to ceiling height. The structural engineering works for this office building modernisation project exemplify a successful blend of preserving historical elements while enhancing functionality and aesthetics.
