Transforming a historic listed building in the vibrant heart of Soho, our structural engineering team undertook an extensive project to enhance its office space. Key improvements included the installation of a modern lift, an expanded basement, and the elevation of the loft room to maximise volume and usability.  Recognising the challenges posed by the building's age, we implemented meticulous strengthening solutions for the timber floors, which had suffered from significant distortion. Our innovative stitching methods ensured structural integrity while preserving the building's character.  In compliance with English Heritage requirements, we conducted a comprehensive structural report detailing all necessary works. This project not only revitalised the workspace but also ensured the preservation of the building’s historical significance, marrying modern functionality with timeless charm.
