Major refurbishment was carried out to five of these listed office buildings involving floor strengthening, façade restoration and reconstruction of a number of elements throughout.  The conservation officer was very keen to preserve all the existing structural members and our task was to ensure there was no loss of original structural fabric.  Therefore, all the new strengthening work had to be incorporated within the existing structural elements and in some cases a considerable number of the original supporting members had to be made redundant but remained in position.  The structural engineering works carried out in this major refurbishment project highlight the synergy between modern engineering practices and historical preservation. By focusing on floor strengthening, façade restoration, and the sensitive reconstruction of structural elements, we successfully revitalised these listed office buildings while honouring their architectural legacy.

Our approach not only enhances safety and functionality but also ensures that the original fabric of the buildings remains intact for future generations to appreciate.
